Tour Details

One of Tanzania’s most important cultural sites is Mto wa Mbu. It was constructed at the base of the East African Rift Valley by the Tanzanian government and SNV. The Serengeti, Lake Manyara National Park, and Ngorongoro Conservation Area are all nearby Tanzanian cultural heritage sites. To showcase the diversity of Tanzania’s tribes, Mto wa Mbu brings them all together. The site has expanded to the point where it can now stand alone as a small town. Mto wa Mbu is the only location that brings together tribes from almost every region of the nation. The main things to do there are walk through the village, visit the farms, climb Balala Hill, and look at the local development projects. This is a location you cannot afford to miss if you enjoy art or want to buy souvenirs. You would have come into contact with the Chagga, Sandawe, Rangi, and Mbugwe by the end of your visit.
